Okay, so. First post. Hmm. I'm thinking... thoughts. Communication. Blogs. Okay, so... let's go with that. My Random Thoughts on Communicating Thoughts on Blogs. Without further ado, I give you..... (dun, dun, dun!!!) the Random Thoughts of a Part-Time Middle Schooler!
1. Get. Your. Thoughts. OUT!!!! (that's pretty much it)
Blogs are a useful form of communication. So, naturally, I looked up communication online to strengthen my point. I found a multitude of definitions, but the one I deemed most relevant to the topic was, "the successful conveying or sharing of ideas and feelings". Communication, specifically blogs, help you connect with others, and enhance your understanding of a variety of topics. What I mean is, communication is not one-sided. It's not just one person lecturing someone else, it's the combined opinions of both people. You can learn so much by just hearing other's thoughts, and I think blogs are a great tool to just get your thoughts out. It doesn't have to be inspirational, world-changing, spectacular thoughts (not that those are bad things, on the contrary, they're very good things) but it's your thoughts, and you're giving other people the opportunity to hear them. Who knows? Maybe you'll learn things about yourself in the process too.
I said that communication isn't one-sided, but I just realized, I'm the one doing all the talking here. And since this isn't a blog about milestone life lessons, (I'll leave that to my amazing, thoughtful friend Ava- if you're reading this, Ava, I just want you to know I absolutely love your blog!!) I have a thought. Perhaps this could be a opinion blog, so if you have an opinion about the topic/random thoughts discussed in the post, you can comment below- maybe this could even turn into a debate blog!! That would be pretty cool. Now, I know how busy everyone is- I doubt I'll be able to post much, and blogging during the school year will be a real challenge for me- so I totally understand if this doesn't work out. This might turn into a creative writing blog where I can jot down simple poems or include a snippet from my book I'm writing. I'm really not sure where this is going. That's sort of up to you, the reader. (WARNING; the next line is extremely cheesy. For those with too-much-cheese-itis, I would highly recommend caution!) This blog in and of itself is its own Unexpected Journey, and while I don't think they'll be any dwarfs or elves in store, I'm hoping for an exciting adventure nonetheless. Random thoughts, here we come!
Great first start, Sophie! I think this blog will be fantastic no matter what route you take and I'm already intrigued with the idea of a debate blog/opinion blog idea:) Keep going!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ava!! You're support means a lot to me. See you Saturday!!!
